Engaged on an overseas holiday

FH and I (who have been together 7 and a half years) went on Holiday to Edinburgh in February this year to go to a wedding of two friends we had me when we lived there in 2008, we had a fab time and it was an awesome wedding! We then flew out to Dubai for 3 days.

We were staying at Atlantis the Palm which is on the man made palm Island. It was an awesome hotel with something like 40 restaurants in it. After we had been shopping, we went back to the hotel to have a rest before we went out to dinner at one of the restuarants in the hotel - I was told it was my choice which one. He suggested we dress up and I had bought some nice dresses in my shopping trips on the holiday and he had a suit with him that he wore to the wedding. So me, who loves to get dressed thinks nothing of it but yay!

So as to keep the important bits between just the two of us, in a nutshell FH proposes to me in the room before we go to dinner! Such a fab idea as I wasn't expecting it AT ALL. Then i find out we aren't eating at the hotel, but he actually hired a stretch limo which took us to the Burg Al Arab! We had a degustation meal and a bottle of champagne.

It was PERFECT, the ring, the surprise, the location, the limo, the hotel, the restaurant, the food and of course all of the thoughtfullness and effort FH went to to make the day so special for me AND keeping it a secret and carying the ring all the way from here. He was so nervous something was going to happen to it!

All I can say is that I'm a very very lucky girl who can't wait to call my fiancee my Husband.
