3 times lucky :D

DF has asked 3 times. once in full uniform, once in the middle of the night, and once (which is the one we count), he didn't actually ask, but bought my engagement ring and then refused to let me take it off (in saying that, he never asked me to go out with him either). we've been together for 7 years, and engaged for 5, so he was obviously onto a winning formula.

how about everyone else?

My fiance asked me at the beach on a trip to QLD. We had gone over to look at a Border Collie puppy I wanted for my birthday. It was the day of my birthday, we landed in QLD and saw the puppy and bought it... he gave me a gorgeous birthday present of a pandora necklace! he had organised this gorgeous little romantic B&B on Bribie Island. We got some seafood and had a lovely dinner on the shore and then went for a walk along this beach.

We were sitting down on a little bench on the beach and he just asked! I was laughing and crying at the same time!

Best birthday I've ever had! Holiday in QLD, new puppy and a diamond! Can't beat that!!!

Oh wow....You got a keeper there!

I remember my moment like it was yesterday Smile

I was in a unit at Marion and D had planned to take me to dinner. It wasn't anthing to much out of the ordinary as we'd been dating for 3 years and often made dinner plans.

I was a little tipped off when he arrived at my door with a MASSIVE bunch of flowers (that was a little odd).
I invited him in and next thing I know he's on bended knee poping the question Razz

He took me to Windy Point restaurant and it was all teamed up...We had a violinist at our table with the whole restaurant looking at us.....It was so embarrising being in the public spotlight but all the same an amazing moment.

I ordered the chocolate platter for dessert after much cohersion from D and when it came out I understood why......They had it beautifully displayed with Congratulations piped out in chocolate on the plate Smile

So 18 years ago that was my moment

OHHhh i love hearing proposal stories!
I was about to leave for a volunteer trip in china for 6 months as was spending a week with marc and his family at Wilsons prom in Victoria. We were watching the sun set as you do when at the beach and just chatting. Marc was kneeling in front of me and then asked out of no where.
I say i said yes out of shock! We then walked to the end of the beach where one of his friends had set up candles and picnic of my favourite foods and Champaign.
We then needed to go back and front his WHOLE family that had no idea! They were very shocked!
We have been married for 3 years I love you
